Keyword search for content-relevant text links
Stuttgart, 02/04/2009
Content-relevant links are gaining more and more in importance. On account of this development we are now launching our improved keyword search. When you enter a keyword in the search field, we now analyse the source text of the offer URLs in our marketplace and, hence, systematically search the webpage contents for the keyword that you have entered.
Increasing importance of content relevance
Content relevance and quality are becoming increasingly important when linking. We would like to explicitly point out that it is mainly bookings with a topical relationship between the buyer's URL and the seller's URL that serve a purpose. Completely content-irrelevant links no longer lead to the desired results. A link between two content-relevant webpages now plays a more important part than the PageRank. Content relevance means that there is a relationship between the target URL and the offer URL in terms of content. This does not mean that the target URL should have exactly the same topic, but rather that it is possible to identify some sort of relationship between the two pages.Keyword search for finding content-relevant text links
The keyword search systematically finds offer URLs that match the keyword that you have entered. However, the search cannot find offers with exactly the same topical relevance or contents. It can only find offers for the keywords that you have entered and which are relevant to your webpage. Therefore, in order to find content-relevant text links, you should first consider which relevant keywords match your webpage and then use these keywords to search for topically matching text links. These can be keywords that are closely related or topically further removed. However, it should be possible to recognise a topical relationship to your webpage.Naturally you can also continue to find topically meaningful text links via the category overview or the individual filters.
We are convinced that it will be even easier for you to find content-relevant text links through the keyword search. We would like to point out once again that it is mainly links between topically related webpages that are useful and that the integration of link lists with content-irrelevant links does not serve any purpose.
