teliad checks the PageRank values of the offered URLs daily and has an extensive system for determining the Google PageRank. However, during some update phases, fluctuations in the PageRank indicator can be possible. The reason for this is that Google maintains numerous so-called "data centres", which can mutually replace each other.

This fact used to be emphasized a lot more. The update process was pretty quick with the last PageRank updates:

If one data centre is overloaded, your search query will just be answered by another data centre. Since the data centres are also often regionally sub-divided, you will mostly get access to a data centre assigned to your region. The data stocks of the individual data centres may differ from one another particularly when an update is currently in progress at Google. This means that the data that one of the data centres delivers to you does not necessarily have to correspond to the data of all the other data centres.

Since all of the data centres are seldom updated at once during a PageRank update, it can often take a few days until all of the data centres show the current PageRank. As the Google toolbar also uses different data centres, the displayed PageRank values may alternate between different values, especially at the beginning of an update phase.

In some phases in the less recent past, PageRanks which had not been current for a long time appeared and some occasional failures (? PageRank display: 0) were also observed.

We have an extensive system for determining the current PageRank value on the basis of changes at the individual data centres. The PageRank value of an offer is automatically adjusted in the event of changes and the seller and buyer are informed.

Please note that as the displayed PageRank is not updated in real time, we always show the date of the last PageRank check for each offer.  During update phases this can cause delays.

Note: It is often mistakenly assumed that the PageRank fluctuates during an update because it is still being calculated. However, this is not the case. In fact, the PageRank alternates between the previous and the current value.
