What is the invoice credit account and why does it make sense to make an advance payment into my invoice credit account?
You can generate credit on your invoice credit account with an advance payment.
Your future invoices will be paid automatically from this invoice credit account until it has been used up.
However, an invoice credit account is not necessary, i.e. if no invoice credit exists we issue a standard invoice, which you can settle using your chosen method of payment.
Available invoice credit offers you the following advantages, however:
Since invoices are automatically paid from your invoice credit account, you have less to do. In the case of extension invoices you must comply with certain payment time limits, in order to avoid the extension being cancelled. If you have sufficient invoice credit you do not run the risk of not being able to pay such invoices on time (e.g. during holiday periods).
